My wife went as part of a foursome this afternoon to sample Wincham Halls new venture of hosting afternoon teas. The food was plentiful, fresh, well presented and there was as much tea or coffee as you wanted. The staff were professional, attentive, helpful and friendly and the whole experience was calm and peaceful. Wincham Hall is a lovely building and the ambience is down to the staff and the management. After you have eaten there is always the outside patio and the grounds to enjoy a drink of whatever takes your fancy in. The Afternoon tea is brilliant and I hope it is a success for them and the whole experience was wonderful. Thank you.
Spent 2 nights here, greeted by very welcoming staff. Was very quiet, except for the planes. Breakfast was very nice and a good start to the day, before visiting some lovely churches in the surrounding area. Thanks to Dan and Jackie for making us right at home.
Attended a wedding at Wincham Hall with overnight stay. The venue was fantastic with superb facilities. A great backdrop for for photographs. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble and everyone had an amazing day. The room was clean and comfortable and good breakfast before we travelled home to North Wales. Thank you management and staff.
We had our wedding at Wincham Hall on 8.4.23, it's such a beautiful venue. Jackie Rhys and the team were absolutely amazing throughout the whole process from booking our day until the morning after. They made sure our day run smoothly and made sure everything was in place. Nothing was to much trouble! The food was gorgeous.. wedding breakfast, evening food and breakfast (compliments to the chef) The rooms are fab, very cosy and warm. All our guests commented on how beautiful the day was and how comfortable the rooms where. The hotel grounds are beautiful for those couple shots also! If I could have my day again I would definitely be back! Thanks again. See youse soon for summer drinks
A real gem of a place with a fantastic personable manager Reese. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are great value compared to local travel lodge and much nicer. Great shower, comfy bed, nice soft towels. Clean and efficient. Quiet room backing onto lovely grounds. Plenty of private parking. For £50 odd you can't complain. Yes it could benefit from a make over, but then you pay double... so keep it as it is, clean and functional!
An excellent venue. My daughter and son in law had their wedding here on Saturday. Jackie was amazing and an absolute star, making us all feel relaxed and had everything in place, from when we arrived till we left on the Sunday. The grounds were fantastic for the photos, the wedding meal was excellent with lots of compliments from our guests. The rooms were clean and if we needed anything they were happy to help and sort things out. We slept well and the breakfast was good (compliments to the chef.) A good day was had by all, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
We booked here as it was close to the HP Forbidden Forest event we was going too that evening. We arrived when reception was closed but rang a number and a nice chap called Reece came and gave us our room key. I am 150 percent certain we was the only ones sleeping their that night, it's oldy worldie but for the price I think it was worth a stay. Nice and peaceful we slept well. My only negative feedback is their was no food or bar open on site but I guess if we was the only ones their they wouldn't be open also no breakfast.
I've rated this as a five star as I believe previously this place has suffered some bad reviews. It's not a 5 star place, It's not fancy or modern. It was warm enough for me and comfortable, peaceful and a short walk to the train station. Excellent value for money, half the price of the Travelodge down the road. I will likely stay again in the future.
